online eraphone eraAPPC's parallel 2022 run measured both — a ~25-point mode effect, so the eras are never joined
Method & caveats. "Would you mind naming any of them, the three branches of government?" — percent of all respondents naming executive, legislative, and judicial, from APPC's annual Constitution Day survey (SSRS Opinion Panel, self-administered online, fielded each August–September). The survey moved from telephone to this online panel: APPC's own 2022 parallel run measured 72% online against 47% by phone (~25-point mode effect) and says the online years "will not be presented as part of a historical trend" with the phone years — so the phone era is a separate line (appcBranchesPhone) and the two are never joined. The 2022 value here is that parallel online reading.
