Method & caveats. Indeed's count of US job postings, indexed to February 1, 2020 = 100 (the pre-pandemic baseline), published daily on FRED by Indeed Hiring Lab with a stated method (7-day trailing average, seasonally adjusted). Stored here as the average of each month's daily values so it compares with the monthly BLS series. One platform's postings, not a census of all vacancies; JOLTS Job Openings is the official measure. The series begins February 2020, so the pre-AI baseline is the 2020–2022 recovery.
